Senator LeBeau visits Yolanda's Sofrito Puerto Rico, a small business in East Hartford that produces Sofrito, a freshly-made ingredient that serves as the basis for a variety of Puerto Rican dishes. Yolanda's opened and equipped their business with two loans over two years totaling ,000 from the Community Economic Development Fund. Their sofrito is now available in the refrigerated produce section of 120 different retailers throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York.
