Students from the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences offered free blood screenings and blood sugar tests for customers at three barbershops in Stockton, California. Called the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program, it was part of a state-wide program to raise awareness that African-American males have higher risks of high blood pressure and diabetes than other populations. These photos were taken in Tru Barber Styles in Central Stoctkton.
