Vacation....
In my head I hear a humming:
Summer, summer summer's coming.
Soon we're going on vacation
But there is a complication:
Day by day the problem's growing-
We don't know yet where we're going!
Mother likes the country best;
That's so she can read and rest.
Dad thinks resting is a bore;
He's for fishing at the shore.
Sailing is my brother's pick;
Sailing makes my sister sick;
She says swimming's much more cool,
Swimming in a swimming pool.
As for me, why, I don't care,
I'd be happy anywhere!

It's finally vacation!!! This year we are starting our vacation an hour from home in Chicago. Emma and Jack are attending Lollapalooza this weekend in Grant Park with 270,000 of their "friends". Donna and I got a room in the city to allow the kids to "come and go". Donna, Alex, and I are enjoying time lounging about. Donna and I had fun walking around Millennium Park last night. We could hear Coldplay's show like we were in the grounds. They did "Fix You" as part of their encore and Chris Martin barely did any singing - he let the 100K+ people sing the entire song. Gave me chills...
After this busy weekend we have a long Monday drive ahead of us. We have reservations in a condo in Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park Monday night. I can't wait to breath some thin mountain air!!!
