While we were setting up for the games, a man was flying his 2 radio-controlled planes. He told me all about the Killdeer bird. They are very noisy and if you (or other animals) get too close to their nest they pretend to have a broken wing to draw you away from their nest.

some times its just not your day and with cross country horse riding this can happen very quite regulary.
Luckly the rider on this occation was ok and I think she got over at the next attempt after langin on her bottom.

I seem to have good luck sometimes, finding objects in situations to which they are not normally a part of. Placement seems to be key in these special situations, and the shot above most definitely follows that.
I was walking around Animal Kingdom one day, and saw this as I passed by. It was just so perfectly positioned that I could not pass by without a shot of it.
I also love how the smoother texture of the leaf contrasts with the control swirl of the floor.
If only I could remember what part of AK this was in...
