Some cool bridge games images:
Jack Lang, watched by Sir Philip Game, cuts official ribbon, 19th March 1932 / photographed by Sam Hood
Image by State Library of New South Wales collection
Format: Glass photonegative
Notes: Official opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, then the world's largest arched bridge. Premier Jack Lang cuts the ribbon, re-connected after Francis De Groot interrupted the ceremony. Lang had famously not invited a "Royal" to open this major engineering feat, leading to De Groot's approach on horeback, cutting the ribbon with his sword. Lang then opened the Bridge in the name of the people
