Advertising at Tottenham Green #1

8 October 2011. Large gaudy advertising signs were displayed on the windows of CHENEL the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, in Town Hall Approach Tottenham. Like many other businesses in Tottenham, it turned its building into a billboard to market its products to prospective customers.
The former College of North East London (CONEL) merged in 2009 with Enfield College. According to its website, this made CHENEL: "one of the largest colleges for further education in the United Kingdom. The website also describes it as "a College for the future of the Upper Lea Valley – a College that will meet the needs of our learners, local communities and employers."

Advertising at Tottenham Green #4

8 October 2011. Advertising signs displayed on Beyza Food & Wine store, 290 High Road Tottenham, on the corner of Tottenham Green East.
I've heard harsh criticism about this advertising display - that it is garish and out of keeping with other buildings nearby. Though, of course, like the other businesses around Tottenham Green it needs to market its products to prospective customers.
